6 weeks post op
Hello ladies, I'm 5 weeks post op on Tuesday and know that at 6 weeks I can take this macom off, but I've not been given any other instructions about what I can/ can't wear or if I'm supposed to sleep in the macom. Last time they were really vague too. My appointment for this week was cancelled because they had a nurse leave and they've just told me to call next week and see if there's a space so I'm a bit in the dark about what I should be doing after the six weeks. I'm eager to avoid problems as I don't want to need another revision xx

Re: 6 weeks post op
My surgeon said I could wear any bra after my op - including wires. But I stuck to soft cups until 8 weeks and wore my macom at night and sometimes in the day too - I gradually weaned off it!
Go to m&s - or the website. They have really good post surgery bras (supposed to be for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy). They have some really pretty ones!
Maybe just wean off the macom and wear a sports bra some days too! X

Re: 6 weeks post op
Hey chick, ah thank you! I can't believe they don't give out any aftercare booklets or anything. Yeah I'm pretty pleased with them, the right one (the one that had bottomed out) is still sitting a bit higher but I'm hoping gravity will help it settle a little bit more as it also has less side boob to it aswell which I think is because it's not dropped as much. I just hope I don't get cc again this time!

Re: 6 weeks post op
Fingers crossed this time is the last time (well for the next 10 years at least).
At 4 weeks I was out of the surgical bra and in non wired most days, alternating with genie bras. I had to sleep in surgical bra for 6 weeks but continued till about 6 months. I moved on to wires at 5/6 months but that was a very slow transition, I got sore and uncomfortable. Now I sleep in genie bras and on wires most days xx

Re: 6 weeks post op
They're quite even at the moment which is good. iCant help but feel they are a little low on my body but my crease is in the same place and they are perky so I guess I was just used to them being pulled high from cc. I'm looking forward to summery dresses though (and being able to wear the swimsuit in my Avi on a hen do) :)
