Second consultation Empty Second consultation

Post by LindaP 8th March 2016, 11:11 pm

Hi everyone,

I am booked in for a second consultation with my surgeon next week. This will probably be the last time I see him before surgery day so I am trying to put together all my questions.

I already plan to talk through sizes again and I need to ask about what bras to buy and some questions about recovery. Do you have any advice on what else to ask? What do you wish you had asked before surgery? I know that if I realise I need to ask anything else after the consultation I can email the surgeon but I want to make sure I make the most of the appointment.

I am also getting so excited. We are in march now and it is crazy to think that before the end of next month I will get boobs!

Thanks
xx

Ahh it's so exciting when your going through the run up to your surgery!
I would just be 100 % certain of your size choice, and ensure you follow all the aftercare advice given. Make sure you know what bra to wear throughout recovery, can you shower afterwards etc.

Are you an overnight stay?
Just be sure you take a pillow for the home journey, to cushion them new boobies against your seat belt.

Enjoy the next few weeks ..It will fly.

Exciting!!! Just double check you know everything about what actual implants you are getting, smooth or textured etc and whether your surgeon recommends you don't touch them or whether you should massage.

Also like Twinky says what bra to wear in the immediate recovery period and for how long.

One if the things I wish I'd asked is what I should do in recovery - I got really confused... Like should I be doing the washing up and exact weights of what I'm allowed to lift - is a pint of milk ok etc!! Just everyone has different thoughts on it!

Can't really think of much else apart from to be sure on sizing!

Not long now - it's come around so quick! X

Thank you for the advice, I will make sure I ask every question I can think of when it comes to the recovery period. I hadn't thought about massaging or lifting things but I will definitely ask about it.

I am staying overnight. I like the idea of being taken care of by the hospital staff for as long as possible.

I have just had my second consultation with the surgeon. It all went really well. We talked through everything again focusing on what look I want and what my priorities are looking at pictures. After trying on sizes again we decided to go up to 350cc. The 325 I liked last time felt a bit small now and we agreed that it would be better to go for the slightly bigger option. I also had the opportunity to ask all the questions I have been thinking about.

Now I can't wait to go shopping for sports bras and other surgery essentials before my big day.

I am so excited but I'm also starting to question if this is the right decision. I know this is something I have wanted for a long time and that I will regret it if I don't do it. I'm not really considering cancelling but I think because it is such a big decision I need to question it a bit to feel like I have thought about it properly. I'm just asking myself if having bigger boobs will make me much happier and if this is enough to spend all that money and going through surgery. I generally see myself as a sensible person and I know this definitely isn't the most sensible thing I could do with my money. But then it is what I want so I'm going to do it anyway because I want big boobies.

So exciting!! It's totally normal to question everything! It's a big decision and I think most of the girls on here have a wobble about it all. I never got boobs because I thought it would make me happier or more confident as a person - I could fake them in a push up bra anyway!! I mainly did it because I struggled to get bras to fit properly - silly I know. But then mine are fairly new and I haven't had the chance to get them in a bikini yet - once I've done that I'm sure I'll realise how much more confident I feel.

You've wanted this for a very long time - you only live once and u deserve to treat yourself - be at peace with your decision - u are going to look gorgeous! Xx

I think if you have got this far, then if you dont do it know, you will definetly come back to it at a later date...i did!

Thought the same as you, what am i doing?

that was 10 years ago, and here i am now, and this time obviousley went through it.

And i feel loads better. Its strange how quickly you get used to them, i feel like they have always been here! But i look at old pics, and even the way i hold myself is different. I was so concious of my tiny boobs! huh smiley

Have a few days off the board, off the boobs, and come back to it.
See how you feel..

But i think its natural to question it. Its a big decision.

But think how amazing you will feel afterwards.

Buying bras and even getting measured is so much fun.

I didn't think i would EVER hear myself say that Stars
