Hello ladies,

Well well well... good old CC.. something magical may be happening...!!?

The short story:

I have been massaging and compressing my implant with CC, and its improved massively!!

The long story:

For those who don't know any of my issues, a huge problem (just one of them!!) I am having is that at 10 months my R has not dropped, has CC grade 2 according to my surgeon.

It sits very high and firm to touch, just up the top on my chest, the underneath is not so hard atall just sits high.

My incision scar visible as it hasn't dropped, I have way more upper pole than lower pole....all on the R side, L has dropped nicely and looks normal! So rather wonky indeed!!! You can imagine I am pretty unimpressed.

Having being told there is nothing I can do about cc my surgeon saying 'it is just something that happens' I felt ...unsatisfied? Incredibly unsatisfied!! Particularly as my implant hasn't even dropped, and I don't feel as though it has had a chance to!

Never say never right?

I'm thinking....Some people drop as late as 10 months or even later, even if it is uncommon, but!! !

I've trolled the internet for other's experiences and a few have marked improvement with massage in the early stages..no particular technique though and all way sooner than the 10 months I am at now. My surgeon did recommend massage but also said there is nothing that I can do to improve it...

All online surgeons say capsulectomy/capsulotomy...papers I have read on these show there is still a chance of it just returning, and its really bloody expensive no way can I afford that, and I don't want to have to go through surgery again!!

I know a compression band has been helpful to some in the early stages to stop the implant rising...I read somewhere that it would make no difference after 3 months to wear this compression band. (in my case I feel as though the compression would help it drop into a natural position as it should, when i press my hand on the top of my implant it squishes into more of a natural boob shape, but the skin is tight as it hasn't had a chance to stretch).. at the same time I am reading that you should wear support as much as you can with implants to prevent drooping and I quote somewhere said over time 'gravity will always win' I thought this is a slight contradiction right?...if gravity will affect the implants over time....and wearing a bra will affect the implants over time, surely some kind of compression pushing the implant down into position will affect the implant over time too??

I also thought...people loose and gain and gain and loose weight all the time, and our amazing bodies handle it so well, so accomodating for the extra fat, or muscle, girls bra sizes change dramatically with weight change, and our amazing bodies can handle the change right? Our bodies handle the surgery, our diet, pollution, exercise, everything, so I am sure there must be something my amazing body can to to accomodate this implant just a little better...surely??

I felt as though, if my lower pole skin had actually had a chance to stretch and accomodate, then it would.

Also ...I am no scientist or surgeon, BUT cc is just scarring, I can find massage techniques for ALL types of scarring with marked improvement, AND scarring does improve and flex over time, there ARE stories of cc improving with massage on forums, and surgeons make money from surgery, not massage.

So I started looking for FACTS rather than opinions. I came across this paper.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

No negative side affects reported with this technique.

I have literally started planning my holiday here to get this technique applied.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

...for the summer...as the report seems pretty darn good, and all their information ties in with my ranting realisations too, have a read anyway, because it all makes a lot of sense.

I did the online evaluation through the site and they said I am a suitable candidate!

And I could just go there for my next holiday.

Then I thought to hell with it I will just give their technique a little go from the paper I found, obviously I don't have the ultrasound machine but I have tried all the other massage and compression techniques described in the paper, I have researched loads to make sure I won't do any harm and as my implants are SMOOTH then massage is ok....

I started this on the 2nd, and on the 8th, I noticed right side of my chest, my implant has basically now dropped! It still needs to go a little lower, but oh my days it is so different, so soft and squishy just like my L...and in the right place where it should have been all along?

I am thrilled. All it needed was 6 days of encouragement?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!

I have taken photos too...still not perfectly symmetrical but the difference....is....unbelievable!!

I am going to carry on with the massage, and will add the new pic on my pic trail if anyone would like to see.....

Anyway has been 2 days since I noticed the difference, it feels as though I need to continue the technique for it to stay down, which is fine because I really havnt done that much to it! And it has moved up a tiny bit but is still what feels like miles different to before I started!

The skin in my lower pole has finally stretched to match the L more, as I said, I never feel as though it had a chance to from it being so high and never moving down...so I have moved it down myself...and my body has accomodated for it well.....?????????????????????????????....As it should have in the first place....I have no more words!!!xox

Amazing!!! That's such good news - I haven't looked at links yet as I'm at work but I'm also doing heaps of massage as I've been told by surgeon to do it 2-3 times a day for 15mins a time. I'm hoping this will help mine move down quicker as the right is still high!

I'd love to see your trail and how the massage has helped! Xx

I've just looked at the trail - omg that is amazing - even with the stretched areola they look just 100% better!! I'm in shock at how such a simple thing has helped so much in just 8 days!!! You must be thrilled. They really do look 100% better!!

I couldn't get the link to work that you pm'd me so I'm going to have a look through the ones on this thread.

When are you due to go back and see the surgeon? X

Aw thanks lucy!!! But yes I would agree 100% better it is unbelievable!!

Yeah have a look at aspen post surgery stuff it's got lots of info on there about how they do the treatment!

I'm going back at the end of this month about the areola, I have had a second opinion on it already so it should get fixed!

I was previously in the mind set that I coudln't do anything about the cc, but this massage and compression has just been amazing :) xox
