As above! How many consultations do you all recommend having before deciding? I am final at the stage of being able to start booking initial consultations but feeling a bit overwhelmed about such an important decision!

eek!

I would do at least 3! I had 4 and chose the 3rd surgeon I saw however I was pretty sure I'd go with him as he was recommended by a friend.

They all say different things so you need the comparison to make a decision really! Also depends a lot in their personalities and who you are willing to put your trust in.

Take pics of the kind of look and size you want (can get pics from real self or just lads mag bikini shots!)

Good luck!! X

After finding this website after I had a BA I would recommend as many as possible. I only had the one and it all turned out fine. The more the merrier :-) xx

I'm at the same stage as you - trying to choose who to book consultations with. I'm going to have at least 2 - I'm hoping that I will just 'know' when it's right. And if I have 2 that tell
me totally different things then I'll have at least 1more!

As many as you need till you find the one you are comfortable with. Some are lucky and find that one straight away. Good luck it's an exciting journey xx

How many consultations....? Empty Re: How many consultations....?

I had 4 in total but one of them was about a year before I decided to go ahead and book. I think you will know when you have met the one, at least I did. I would recommend booking 2-3 consultations with surgeons you have a good impression of to begin with. It helps to see several surgeons as they will most likely say slightly different things and it helps you figure out what you want from a surgeon and what you like and don't like. I would personally recommend seeing at least one BAAPS surgeon. They usually charge for the consultation but they will also usually spend more time with you so I found it was worth the money. If you just want some extra opinions most clinics will offer free consultations.

It is also worth looking if you can get a free mini-consultation with surgeons you are interested in. Many surgeons offer them. It won't be a full consultation with examination and a proper recommendation but if you are just trying to figure out if a surgeon is right for you a short chat will often be enough. I met my surgeon for the first time during a free open evening where he offered free 15 minute consultations. I more or less knew then that he was the one and the full consultation I had later just confirmed that.

There was a great post recently about choosing a surgeon here:

Thanks so much!! I am definitely planning to see at least one BAAPS surgeon. I feel like there are soooo many options it's hard to know which one to book a consultation with first lol!
It's an exciting yet daunting prospect!
