Help - need picking up! Empty Help - need picking up!

Post by Lucy106 28th November 2015, 8:05 am

I've been hanging around on the forum for months now (love it!) and over those few months I've seen lots of women have last minute wobbles. I NEVER thought I'd be one of them!! I was so sure if my decision but now I feel really unsure.

I did a silly thing last night... Had my work Xmas do and told some people (only a few!) that I thought would be happy for me but one person has made me feel a bit rubbish. She said I'm beautiful as I am and why 'ruin' myself. Now I feel like I might be going too big in size - are they going to look too big on my frame??? I told her she prob wouldn't notice because I wear a push up bra and it will pretty much look the same and she said why bother then!!

It's booked and all paid for and I was so sure I was making the right decision but now I'm worried!

Why did I tell people?? Am so annoyed with myself as it is no one else's business!

Help!! Xx

I'm guessing alcohol was involved...?  Lol

At the end of the day, you are doing this for yourself. This person doesn't know it bothers you, or how it has bothered you for probably years? So this person probably doesn't even know he real you really well...so forget what she thinks. You may get negative comments, but does there opinion really matter to you?

You have been and tried on sizers, and you are happy with your choice, don't let this shake you lovey. Xx

If you and your hubs are happy, it really is no one else's business.

Your so close, don't let this spoil it.

Yes alcohol was involved! Last blow out - now not drinking until BA is all done.

Thanku for replying. Twinky help - is 375 right for me? Look at my avi - will they suit me??? I'm getting so worried and I know I'm being silly!! It's stoooopid as I've watched heaps of girls have a wobble about size just before their op and I'm trying to justify to myself it's part of the process but I'm freaking a bit!! Yours look amazing and not too big but we are different sizes!

Argh - need to get a grip!! Xx

Every woman will have their own opinion on you, and in surgery itself. But its none of their business. You were confident in your decision 2 days ago, why listen to this person? You've tried them on, and you're happy with how they look. Stick with your guns, and dont let others try and away you.

If you really are worried, go back and try them on again, you'll soon know if it's the right choice

Thankyou Charlii. Had a good old chat with my friend who has had a reduction and she has reassured me a bit. Husband took pics of me with 375 and 350 sizers on and definitely the 375 look best and in proportion. I have to keep thinking to myself that the whole point in me doing this is so I never have to look at a padded bra again and ironically want to look more natural!!

Thanku for talking sense into me. Feel a bit reassured but just annoyed with myself for telling people. I think I'm just excited so want to shout from the rooftops but it's just not a good idea unless they are close friends and you know they won't judge. Lesson learnt. X

Thanku Mrskelly! You ladies and my other lovely friend have already made me feel better. I've been looking through my sizer pics and I'm sure I'm going the right size. I know it can never be 100% but I don't think my surgeon would let me go too big xx

Hi, you will find with people the minute you mention boob job, they automatically presume your going to look like a porn star. People have totally the wrong idea about boob jobs. There will always be people that are not pleased for you. Remember you are doing this for yourself. Xxxx

Women can be negative in a wanting to be genuinely caring way whilst being totally jealous.
I second what everyone above had said, this is for you, for the boobs you deserve, to be able to wear a bra that doesn't come with a mountain of padding.
I told someone and they did exactly the same thing. Only I sometimes get attacks of little person syndrome with a big mouth and told her she was jealous xx

Thanku ladies- u are all completely right of course! I agree - people just assume u are going to look massive and fake and it's not like that at all! I think I started worrying about size because of people knowing and I'm worried they will think I've gone too big! In reality I don't think people would notice if I hadn't told them. No more shouting my big mouth off. At least until after the op. Once I've had it done i'd hope people would be civilised enough not to make negative comments!

Lucy, I had "friends" act like this too. Most people haven't noticed because like you they'd assumed my push up gel bras were my actual boobs. The ones I've told that didn't approve expected me to come out looking like Dolly Parton and low and behold I look normal. Mine are 400 (and 375) but I can totally dress them up and down. I have a relatively serious job and no one at work has batted an eyelid because I make sure I'm not flaunting them. Promise you, they'll look fab! Xx

Thankyou boobiesplease! I don't get why people are so immature and telling me not to get it done like I'm not horn up enough to have thought about it properly and make up my own mind! I'm not stupid! I think they think I just rushed in and went out to get Jordan boobs - not the case! Been researching years. This 'friend' is 46 years old - you'd think she'd be a little more supportive! Xx

It's always the ones you'd least expect that aren't supportive. My main friend that kicked off was an ex lap dancer head to toe in tattoos!

Oh no! This is something I would do too after a few wines, I need to remember to keep it a secret at my do haha. As everyone else has said, it will always make you doubt your decisions when someone challenges you on it.. but they don't know anything about you and how you feel. And you need to go with your heart.. forget anyone else, think about how good you felt when trying on sizers in the 375. You will love them, and look amazing!! Don't let anyone dampen your spirits :) xxx

Definitely dont listen to others, this is something that YOU want and the only other person/people you should listen to is you, your hubby and your surgeon.  Your surgeon isnt going to put implants into you which look unnatural unless you ask them too!  If you have tried the sizers and are happy with them then go for it, ignore others...xx

Sit back chill and get excited again about it xx

I had exactly the same thing happen sat night! Got a bit tipsy and told a few friends. Had one pleading with me 'don't do it don't do it'.
Why? How does it affect you in any way?
I don't get how people can have such strong objections!!?

Post by Lucy106 1st December 2015, 7:25 am

Hi ladies - thanks for your replies. Feeling much better about it all mrskelly. I keep getting worried about size as I'm worried I'm going too big but surgeon said the diff between 350 and 375 is 1MM in the base and the same projection. So I think I need to stop panicking! I did like the sizers although she made me try them on with the macom which prob isn't s true representation as it squishes them but got to have faith! Also a lady I know had the same implant size, projection and same surgeon and she is teeny tiny - as slim as me and shorter and she looks lovely! Must get it out of my head I'm going too big! I never thought I'd be like this but it must be last min jitters coming out subconsciously!

And yes u are so right. Why do people beg u not to get it done? Why have such strong views. Unless the are dead opposed to surgery I can only think it's jealousy. Maybe something they secretly want to do? Xx

I think jealousy is a terrible thing. People kept saying to me why are you having that done you don't need to put yourself through that!!! One of my friends said I think your stupid for getting that done. Then I put the question to them if you had the money would you get it done ?? They both said YES!! Xxxxx
