Yup. All normal. Its the GA, it dehydrated you a little. Drinking water helps to flush it out your system though, so it's a good thing (to a point, don't go making yourself sick). As long as you're peeing normally it's all fine. Just be sure to be eating along with it, lots of white proteins (chicken, turkey) and leafy veg so you're getting all the good stuff to help you heal.

the swelling is going to be all over, collar bone to bottom of ribs. Makes you wonder what they're doing in there! But its all fine. You'll get quite a bit of swelling inbetween them, which will cause 'tenting', where it looks like its all lifted away from the sternum, but its all fine. It'll go in about 3wks. Make sure that your shoulders are above your heart when you sleep to help drain the swelling.

Re: Cant stop drinking water after my BA- is it normal
I stupidly watched a little vid on YouTube of a BA being performed (why would I do that??) and I'm not surprised people get so much bruising. They are hardly very gentle - proper have a right old dig around under your boobs. Bit like if you've ever caught a clip of a nose job being done (before quickly looking away / changing channel!) - they go to town with a chizzle and hammer on the nose!!
How are your incisions feeling? Are they still stinging? Bet u can't wait to get the tape off in a few days!
Xx
