I'm must be a scruff, I'm about a week then wash but I probably  wear about 3 that week and rotate them. Depends on what colour I'm feeling that day!

Then as soon as evening comes...the Belvia or genie comes out!

White bras I wear once and was but darker colours I'm not so fussed, I wear them probably 3 times before washing but not on consecutive days. I'm only wearing surgical harness at nighttime and as that's hand wash only I'm a little lazier now that my incisions have healed, and wear it about 4 nights on a trot xx

Yep same as above - I wear different ones each day but rotate until they need a wash. They prob get about 3-5 days wear each until a wash. Whoops - is that gross? Xx

Washing bras Empty Re: Washing bras

Generally post op while you're scars are healing you should wash it every day. Not a full on cycle, just a handwash in the sink to make sure as little bacteria is getting to you as possible. Thats why we say 2bra minimum post op, so you can wash one, wear one.

Since you're past the 'dangerzone', once every few days is fine. If you can, still try and handwash at this point, to get as much wear as you can out of them.

Down the line when you're back in wires, I guess its up to you how icky you feel. Personally, I probably wear one 3-5 times before bunging it in the washing machine (unless its super expensive, then I'd hand wash), but also it depends what you're doing for the day. If you're dripping sweat in the hight of summer, you probably only want to wear it once.

For sports bras, wash properly as little as possible, so that they hold their impact. I actually just get in the shower with mine on, rinse it through, and air dry it, maybe put it through the machine once every 2months or so, depending on the amount of use.

Washing bras Empty Re: Washing bras

At the moment I'm in sports bras 24/7 and feel like they're making me get slighlty sweaty boobs and worry about them smelling- so I'm switching to clean ones every 12 hours. Feel like I'm the opposite end of the spectrum right now!

I'm sure I'll go back to my old ways of every 2-3 days when able to wear "normal" bras again!
