I'm six weeks post op and I sleep braless. Try it and see if it's comfortable.

Re: sleeping without a bra
Have you been told you can? Your surgeon would have given you instruction as to when you can go without. However, it's advisable to keep wearing a bra at night, even if it's just a low impact crop top. You've paid a lot of money for your new boobs, you'll want to keep them looking good for as long as possible.
Also, a lot of girls find that they still get sore and achy this early post op if they go braless. But like I said, as long as you have the all clear, do whatever you feel most comfortable doing.

Re: sleeping without a bra
Hi... I sleep without a bra and have done since about 6 weeks I think, in fact might have been earlier... My ps was ok with this too... If your ps is not against it and it is comfortable for you I would go for it... I definitely feel comfier at night without a bra but everyone is different !... Hope that helps you a bit xx

My surgeon never said about whether it's ok to go braless or not I've not seen him since I've had the operation and don't see him until 3rd December xx

Re: sleeping without a bra
I was a bit disappointed to learn from the girls on here that it's best to wear a bra in bed post op! I sleep naked so it will be odd wear clothes! Besides I had romantic visions of me floating around the bedroom wearing some silky little nightdresses!! I might compromise and go for those tops with hidden support - maybe you could try those as a middle ground? Check with surgeon first obviously! X

I had to be 24/7 bra for first 6 weeks the a further 6 weeks of surgical bra at night. Best to ring surgeon for advise just incase, you don't want to invalidate your after care xx

I was told to wear Macon for 6 weeks then go to a non wired for another 6 weeks then onto wires at 12 weeks. I still wear one of a night as it more comfy. X

Re: sleeping without a bra
I was told it really doesn't matter.
My implants are under the muscle so my ps said this in itself is support, but if for comfort I prefer to wear one, then sure go ahead!
I occasionally sleep braless but feels much comfier with one on, and I feel a bit achey without it too. Pre-op I always slept braless but there was nothing there that needed support!
Its just easier when you turn over and stuff not to keep adjusting em and stuff, imo.
I just wear my genie or belvia. There non-wired and soo soft and comfy!

Re: sleeping without a bra
I think that was just MY surgeons opinion, as he said he didn't believe in bra's period. Said he prefers au naturel...ironic eh!
But I just feel so much better in one at bedtimes.

Re: sleeping without a bra
A friend of mine has unders, her ps wanted her to go braless as much as possible after 6 weeks. Said it was to allow gravity to help the muscle and skin to stretch, she was extremely flat chested though. Mine are overs and I don't think I'll ever go braless other than showering and bedtime fun. Do not want gravity helping mine go south lol x

Re: sleeping without a bra
Unders will give you a degree of additional support, as youve got the muscle helping out too, but its very little. You dont need as much support sleeping as you do during the day, i wear minimum support.
