My BA Story Empty My BA Story

Post by Sarbs900 12th January 2016, 2:26 am

Hi Girls,

Well I've done it!!! Yay I finally have my boobies  dance
Please excuse if some of this doesn't sound right still feeling pretty spaced out haha

I got to the clinic at 1:15 (slightly early due to excitement) I was taken straight to my room to put my gown and sexy knickers on that I'd kept hearing about, before I knew it I had my Canula in and was getting walked down the theatre where I was then talking to the anaesthetist again then what felt like 2 seconds later I was talking to my surgeon in my room who laughed when I asked him when he was starting!!! I couldn't believe it was all done.

The whole thing was so much better than I had imagined ( I know I'm only days) although I did end up having an allergic reaction to the morphine...I felt like I needed to rip the skin off my face and neck....not nice nope anyway they give me piriton which seemed to clear that all up  :ok:

I just remember drifting in and out of sleep and feeling really light headed and woozy, I was given some tea and toast which again helped a little (all the staff in Birkdale were amazing!!)

I wasn't allowed home the original time I was given due to feeling like this and also it seemed the anestethic had made my bladder really lazy so needed to make sure I'd gone the toilet before I was allowed home!

Finally 9 o'clock came I went for a wee yahoo it's amazing how the simple things can make u so happy haha

I am so happy with the whole thing, the pain is nowhere near as bad as I had imagined (although I know today may be completely different) I'm just going to keep on top of the medication they have given me.

I've got to say though I think they look a bit smaller than I had imagined (I had 560cc) hopefully it's just the Macom squashing them down.

Sorry if I've waffled on girls, can I just say a big thank you for all your help, support and messages

Sara xx

Congrats on the boobs, it will be the Macom that makes them look smaller. Mine squashes my boobies down too. Rest up and keep on top of those meds xx

Congratulations on your new additions, glad your not in too much pain. Yes the macom does make them look smaller. 560cc they definitely won't be small. Did you have overs or unders? Xxx

I'm a bit more in pain today than I was yesterday thanks to good old morphine even though I did turn out to be allergic!!
I had overs...I'm hoping there not too small and it it's the Macom pushing them in coz it does feel pretty tight around the boob area but fine on the shoulders and back xx

Thanks for your advice girls, I was getting a little worried they would be small, although I did get my other half to measure them before an according to the calculations I'm only a C....surely that can't be right can it??

Have any of you taken your bra off to give yourself a minutes breather?? I feel very restricted haha xx

No surely impossible to be a C with that size implant!!  The macom is a compression garment remember - once you unleash them they will pop out I bet!  They just need to stretch and soften a bit.  I know what you mean about wanting them to have a breather. My favourite times of the day are first thing in the morn and last thing at night when I can take the bra off for 10 mins!! I'm wearing a strap across the top of mine too - awful! x

I find the macom can be a bit much sometimes and it is so nice to take off for a while and then it feels so good to put it back on. It's a weird one. I would ask your ps or nurse first before you do anything. Xx

Hi girls hope your all ok, last night was the worst night ever  sad smile I decided to try and go to bed rather than sleep on the couch....big mistake, so it's back to the couch for now.
I feel like I've set myself back, I am so so tight today and my left one feels like it's burning....is this normal?

Oh bless you - I know what it's like - 1 step forward, 2 steps back!! If you can bear it its good to sleep with extra pillows and propped up a bit for about a week at least (I did 3 weeks) because day 3 or so is when all the swelling usually kicks in and it's good to have your head above your heart to help with this. I'm sure you will feel a bit better later this morning - you've prob just got a bad case of morning boob - I'm sure you won't have done any harm!

Re taking the macom off - this would be fine as a girl needs to wash and change her bra!! I doubt they would expect I to go a week without a wash and a change! If you are worried do ask though xxx

No I don't have one I think I will get the other half to go and get me one today. How do you use it, do you use it as a prop up or to go round you?

I've been using extra pillows to prop me up on the couch an felt fine don't know why it didn't feel the same in the bed.

I've taken my mess this morning and feel much better but definitely think I'm gonna have to take it easy today.

I think I'll give my consultant a call later just to see if I can open the bra just to give myself a 5 min break, my other half is worried he won't be able to fasten it back up haha xx

Either way, which ever is comfiest for you. If I have it in sofa it sort of goes round me. In bed I have one end like a pillow and other part round near my back. You will find a way that's best for you. X

Third day I had to take mine off to change into a bigger size because of swelling. I found it really hard to get it back on, I was in tears !!!!

Mrs k it's weird like you say you take it off but then you want it back on!!!! Xx

This is the part I'm unsure of about the size because I got the Macom bra so it's not sized by cup it's meant to adapt to your the size, the back is fine it's just the front that feels tight but I'm also scared if I take it off I won't be able to get it back on, so I just pulled it out of the front for a couple of minutes just to get a bit of a release xx

Yeah I no, the macom goes to fit any cupsize it stretches to fit. I undid a few of the eyelets to ease the pressure a bit. Have you got much swelling? If so have you tried a ice pack only on top of the boobs no where near the incisions. Xxx

I don't think there is much swelling coz to be honest at the moment I don't think I'm as big as I thought I would be considering I've had 560cc so I'm hoping it's just coz there all squashed up and haven't plumped out yet. I haven't tried the ice so I'm willing to try anything haha, I think I will undo a few of the top eyelets as well thank you xx
