Donut lift and implants? Empty Donut lift and implants?

Post by MaeBug 16th February 2015, 4:14 pm

Hiya everyone :)
I'm all booked to have my BA under the muscle with a donut lift on the 10th of March with Mr Mashhadi at NU in London, has anyone else been treated by him? He seems lovely and my coordinator Chloe is lush!
Until I went for my consultation I didn't realise I'd need a lift (or that I had asymmetry!!) but Mr M said I'd get a better result with a little lift and different sizes implants. Have any of you had a donut lift? And what were your experiences?
I'm nervous but so so excited!
Must admit though I am a mega wuss and am a bit worried about post op pain, I know everyone's different but any advice? Or tips?
Sounds daft but non of my friends have had boob surgery so I've not got anyone to compare notes with!!
I just can't wait to feel confident about my boobies!!
Sorry for the zillion questions!
Thank you :) x

Donut lift and implants? Empty Re: Donut lift and implants?

Hi
I had implants with a periolar lift 6 months ago, I think it's the same as the doughnut lift.
I'm very pleased with the result, the scarring is minimal and improving all the time. Recovery wise it wasn't too bad at all , I was back driving at two weeks (although the seat belt was a bit uncomfortable) sleeping on my side at 2.5 weeks and back at the gym after 3.5 months ( probably could have gone back sooner but didn't want to risk it) I was also back working at 3 weeks Smike

Hi and welcome to the forum Mae,

Congrats on booking, if you type his name into the search bar something may come up.

As for unders I've had unders (though no lift) pain wise it's more uncomfortable than pain. It's like aching from a major chest session, or someone's given you a few digs in your chest and feels bruised.

Painkillers keep it at bay along with ice packs which help tremendously. (Over your bra not near inscions)

Get yourself a v pillow to sleep with, great for back sleeping.

Post op make sure you have someone to help you 1st week. That's the worst. After a week most women reach a turn around.

Make sure you have ready meals/frozen meals for post op. You won't be cooking for a good week.

Get yourself netflix or DVD box set for post op recovery, great for passing time and of course also the forum!

Dry shampoo or book in with your hairdresser for a wash and blow dry around day 3/4/5 (make sure someone takes you) as hair washing can be a nightmare as you won't be able to shower for around 7-10 days post op.

And ask as many questions as you like Mae, we've all been or are going through it so lots of support here for you Hug X

Thank you @dling :) I'm going to miss the gym!! That's good to hear about the scarring thoigh as that does worry me a bit!! Did they place the implant through the same incision? As i'm not sure about that bit and was too flustered/ excited/ weirded out at having gotten my boobs out at my consultation?!

Mine were placed through a different incision under each breast in the fold. My surgeon said this was because if  i got an infection in the uplift area round the nipples it would minimise the risk of the implant becoming infected and visa-versa. Also i think because i had quite a large implant it would be difficult to get it in through the nipple x

Ah, that makes sense :) Thank you. I've spoken to my patient co-ordinator and she's asked my PS and he's doing the same sounding thing as you had :) Can't wait!! x
