Re: Post op bra
Oo I'm intrigued! Have you been told to buy a specific bra or did your surgeon just say a good supportive sports bra? X

For members looking at the bra and strap though do be aware that you should only ever wear a strap if you're under instruction from your surgeon to do so. I've yet to know of anyone who has had to buy their own strap though
If you need a strap your surgeon will prescribe one for you which you'll have immediately after your op to help your boobs take on their natural forum.
Where you told to buy yourself a strap as part of your post-op instruction Langers?
I think we're dying to see this bra now lol. C'mon Langers, where's the link! Hahahaha. X
Re: Post op bra
From what I've seen on here, the macom or the m&s high impact are preferred by a lot of people, but the pcc I saw at THG said 'any sports bra will do really' - what are the bands for though? Xx

Re: Post op bra
The most preferred back fasteners used here are Shock absorbers (high impact) or the Triumph Triaction Extreme, or for a bargain bra which ALWAYS gets amazing reviews, ive yet to see a bad one about these are the M&S two pack of high impact bras.
Do always get yourself a pack of back fasteners when you buy your bras. They're only a couple of pound but will help enormously through the swelling period. Xx

Expresso yes they do! That's where I got mine from. Others have got them off eBay. There are 2 types depending on whether your bra has 2 or 3 clasps.

Re: Post op bra
Are they the little extenders that give you a bit of extra room around the band? X

Re: Post op bra
The band's are added compression to encourage the implant down. Some surgeons use them, some don't. I've known one girl come through here who had to buy her own, so I posted her my extra one, but THG will provide you with them if your surgeon requires it.
When we say back or front fasteners, it's just where the bra does up. So a regular bra does up at the back, but the macom is several hook and eyes down the front. The back fasteners are good in your swelling stage because you can add the extenders to them to accommodate.

Yes, you buy the extenders in any lingerie shop. I personally bought mine from Amazon. £1.67 and free delivery. You can't get cheaper than that lol. Have a look HERERachael1127 wrote:Are they the little extenders that give you a bit of extra room around the band? X
