Massage 2 weeks post op
so iv had my second post op appointment today! I'm 15 days post op and my left implant is still sitting higher than the right, it was like this straight after surgery, I hope it wasn't placed incorrectly, I had uplift and implants. Iv been advised today to continue with the band/strap another week and massage once a day! She didn't say how long for though? Can anybody help? I'm slightly scared of doing the massage thought it would be too early x

Re: Massage 2 weeks post op
Don't worry about the massage. Even though you've had an uplift your boobs/implants are more robust than you think.
Just massage the Breast for 10-15 minutes day and night and that's plenty hun. You will find your boob will really ache lots after the massage, but don't worry. It only because of the force against it to encourage it downwards. It's normal for you to ache, so maybe get some painkillers in as well just incase you'd the discomfort is maybe too much for you. If you take the painkillers ten minutes before the massage you should be fine Rebecca.
I had to massage one of mine to force it down too hun. It worked a treat and my boobs have great symmetry now.

Re: Massage 2 weeks post op
Yes Rebecca, use the palms of your hands using circular motions pushing downwards. You don't have to apply too much force, you'll feel the pressure on your boob as you push down, that's enough force you need, once you feel the pressure applied to the implant and you can feel move down, not that it stays there, but that's enough pressure to use.
Don't get yourself down if it doesn't happen right away Rebecca, it took about 4 or 5 weeks of massage before it finally dropped. Xx

Only if the surgeon asks you too, otherwise don't touch them. Xxx

Re: Massage 2 weeks post op
Absolutely not. Only ever massage if your surgeon says to. Reason being is that the majority of implants used in the UK are textured, and therefore need the stability in order for the pocket to adhere to the implant. Massage would prevent this.

Just the one that needs it Rebecca. No point making both boobs ache when it's not needed on the other side. Xx
