Hey, good to see you! Funny enough I've been getting pain in my scar recently, left only. I asked my surgeon at my one yr, he said it was normal, but I'm dubious. If it's worrying you, go speak to your surgeon about it.

Hey Charlii  wavey

Yep same - just my left, I've been bio-oiling the scars just to try and reduce the redness but just keep getting random pain, and the left one is itchy ALL the time. Perhaps I'll give MYA a call and chat with the nurse. Thanks honey. Hope you're well xx

I would see your surgeon. It may be keloid scarring? I've just had a lump removed from shoulder and surgeon said itching is the commonest symptom of keloid scarring and I'm to go back in dec to see if it's starting to develop so it can be nipped in the bud.

I think they can use silicone sheets and steroids to try and improve them but I'm not sure how successful it is. The cause is unknown but it's more common in dark skin people and Asian skin (unfortunate for me as I'm half chinese!). My sister in law has a keloid scar on her chest and she is currently seeing a plastic surgeon to have it treated using steroid injections. I might be completely wrong though and it is probably totally normal!

Silly suggestion, but could you be allergic to the bio oil?
