Re: question for the unders girls
I don't have partials Wee Lou, but I have followed the progress of many!
I'm guessing you're a very, very slim woman, very little, if any breast tissue at all pre-op.
Those that start out very tight on their chest, do take a little longer than others for everything to relax. If you were as I guessed above then it's fine Lou. It can take time for many of us for everything to finally come together and for them to finally feel as a natural breast should feel.
However.... In saying that, there's nothing wrong with making an appointment to see your surgeon to discuss this with them.
I always feel that if we have ANYTHING of concern on our minds it should be documented. Your surgeon should be aware of your concern, write it in his notes (so important, because if there is a complication, these notes are what will be referred back too) and can then follow their progress to ensure everything is continuing to progress nicely and that you're happy. Xx

Re: question for the unders girls
Every ones different and heal/ settle at different times , I was around 5 months before the started to soften & get a little movement , it was some where between then & around 9 months that I could comfortably get a cleavage in bras without them feeling achy at the end of the night.X

Re: question for the unders girls
The softening and gaining movement is a gradual part of the healing process and sometimes feels like it will never happen, just kind of creeps up on you till one day you suddenly notice that they feel a part of you & less aware of the implants, like you have always had them. XXX

Re: question for the unders girls
I think at 3m mine were still pretty solid, it wasn't for another 3m that J started to get movement, and then still softening for another 3 after that. So they were hoikable at 6m, but there was still difference between 6-9m. It's a waiting game I'm afraid, but they'll get there!

Re: question for the unders girls
It's funny coz it's purely thanks to this site I know all these details. As much as I can't fault my surgeon/hospital group etc... I still feel I was very under informed on lots of stuff. It was a bit, wam bam thank u mam x

Re: question for the unders girls
aw thats a shame that some of you feel that you werent told more
the one thing that I was so glad my surgeon spoke to me about was the things that can and do go wrong cause then it didnt come as that big of a shock when I had problems xx

Re: question for the unders girls
I am starting to realise that what surgeons tell girls and the reality is on a need to know - just enough to not be negligent - basis!
Do you think the size you go effects how quickly they soften? It would make sense that the larger the implant the longer it takes your breast to stretch and accommodate them.

Re: question for the unders girls
I think in my situation that as I went the biggest that he could fit in, and before I went under I asked for this, that this has cause me complications and also that is why they still havent dropped properly
so im a bigger is always best girl on here xx

Re: question for the unders girls
I don't think size matters, as its entirely comparative to the girl. Some girls with larger implants are quicker, some girls with smaller implants are longer. Obviously there's going to be some size related things, like if you had a larger breast to begin with and were filling a space, rather than a Zero to DD, it may take less time to drop...but softening is going to be entirely down to the individual I would think.

Re: question for the unders girls
Biggest is DEFINITELY not always best.
What is best for every single woman having a BA is the implant that's going to get them as close as possible to the look they're hoping to have with the least risk possible (the bigger the implant, the higher the risks)
Healing isn't about how large your implants are. It's a personal thing. We will each heal in our own good time, no matter your placement, your shape, your size etc. your body will heal when it's ready too.
Except for those ladies who had complicated surgeries such as having to have muscle stitched down to the breast wall, capsulectomies etc...Surgery needed beyond the 'standard BA/Uplift. Xx
