CUI breast implants
Thoughts on these ladies?
I'm hearing good and bad on the internet. Has anyone got them?

Re: CUI breast implants
CUI are the standard, whereas Natrelles or Motiva are the premium. They are still fully medically approved and commonly used, but women can choose to spend a little extra on the premium implants, which can also come with extended warranties for CC. If you've got some time tonight, have a good Google of them for what they are rather than people's opinions, then you can decide what's best for you.

Hi. ,
You might find it helpfull to write a list for yourself of pro's & con's of the different types of implants available , that and any info you take from consultations should help someway in your decision . X

No, I also paid extra for the premium ones. I felt both and the CUI's felt flimsier and reminded me of the dreaded PIP's! My surgeon said they're flimsier too and that they're also more prone to rippling. It's personal choice. x

I have cuis but and I am having revision for capsular contracture and to open the pocket. I also am opting to pay the difference and upgrade to natuerlles as I want tear drop shape.

Re: CUI breast implants
I researched CUIs thoroughly when I needed my re-op because my implant had ruptured after only 3 years. I came to the conclusion that they were perfectly fine and a very safe implant as they go through all the same rigorous testing that Allergans premium implants do.
It's been said here before and I think it's a good analogy that you can liken them to say... Tesco's own brand of beans (CUIs) to Heinz Baked Beans (Responsive/Soft Touch)
So it's entirely your choice Jess, if a budget implant is fine with you then go for the CUIs and if it's the premium range that preferred then go for the responsive or soft touch. You'll be required to pay an additional £450-£500.
I feel I must add though that the budget was always fine with me....but. My implant has another possible rupture after only only 4 years. I definitely have CC though, so if I had it to do over again....is personally choose the premiums. Xxx

Re: CUI breast implants
I've had a consultation with MYA today and they use mentor. They have lifetime replacement for rupture and she told me they can last 40 years!!! Not sure if this is true but I have decided if rather go premiums..
I am extremely happy with mya I felt really at ease. Looking forward to my surgeon consultation next!!

Re: CUI breast implants
Mentor are a very good implant. However, to be told your implants will last you 40 years is a lie.
Any breast implant you choose has a general lifespan of around 10 years. So whoever told you it's 40 years is feeding you that information in order to 'seal the deal' it is possible your implants 'may' last you 40 years, but the likelihood of that happening is very low odds. do ALWAYS remember Jess that Patient Care Co-Ordinators have no medical training at all. They are glorified saleswomen paid to sell you a product making it sound as appealing as possible, so that by the time you see the surgeon you're that excited you're ready before you've entered the room to seal the deal there and then.
That's their job Jess, so please lovely, don't listen to a word they say. The ONLY information that matters when you have a BA is from the experts - the surgeons. These are the people who should have the skills and qualifications to take a scalpel to you body and change it forever. So choose wisely Jess. Research your surgeon. Be sure they have the qualifications you want from a surgeon to perform this operation on you. Do-not trust the fact that because a surgeon works in a plastic surgery establishment that they are qualified plastic surgeons. This isn't always the way and there's currently no regulations in the UK to date to protect you from having 'general surgeons' turning to plastic surgery privately because that's where the money is.
be sure your surgeon at the very least is on the 'specialist' register for plastic surgery. You can find this out by using the GMC register.
Hope the consultation goes well sweetie. Xx

It's terrible what lies they come out with. Other women who are not aware of this forum could believe them. Wrong x

Re: CUI breast implants
tbh I dont think that any surgeon or any clinic offer more than 3 (ive seen one case of 5 years, elsewhere) for any complications, thats not saying that outwith this aftercare time they wont do a reop but it will cost you apart from the implants if they come with lifetime cover for whatever reason
def def def get ALL the aftercare in writing and go over it all in fine detail and if theres something not there in writing get it down
Ive had to use my aftercare once already and looking at using it again so def worth while reading into it xx

I'm glad you're seeing other surgeons Jess.
We're here to help you through the process so you're not alone Jess and by asking questions here, we can help fill those gaps that are so easily forgotten amongst all the information you have rolling around in your head.
Do also have at least one consultation with a BAAPS surgeon too Jess, these surgeons really are at the top of their game and it is very worth a consultation with one before making any decisions.
You can find a BAAPS surgeon in your area using the BAAPS website HERE consultations with a BAAPS surgeon will cost around £100 to £150. But for the consultation you get, it is very worth it.
If cost is an issue Jess then you can see a BAAPS surgeon through MyBreast for just £25. With ALL BAAPS surgeons you will NOT deal with PCCs, you will deal direct with the surgeon.
Hope your consultations go well babe
