Booking confirmation letter?

Post by fluffy_bunn1e on 3rd June 2009, 9:44 am

I am probably being a bit mad here, but just reading post about Mybreast lack of admin skills, and remembering my past experinces on the phone to them, I was wondering how long it was after you booked you got a confirmation letter?

I booked on the phone in early May but for my surgery to be in Oct, I did this with Mybreast and the clinic but havent had confirmation.

Do you think its worth e mailing or ringing them just to make sure? dont wana seem obsessive, just the lead up to surgery is such an emotional rollercoaster and when they make mistakes it can be so diheartening.

Sorry to waffle on with such a silly question really xx

Mine arrived a couple of days after I booked FB. I also had to ask for an amended letter as it stated CUI implants instead of Inspira. I'd give them a quick call they should be able to send it out same day xx

I think you should e.mail and ring, they should have confirmed everything in writing. You also need to be satisfied and in agreement with the whole process, seems that there admin is not the best at all!!! When you have all of this it enables you to move forward and feel happy with everything and deal with the next stage. Good Luck!!! xxx

defo give them a call or email them. I booked my surgery and nearly 2 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything so emailled them. Got a reply same day saying a letter would be with me shortly. Low and behold the next day my letter and info came next day with the previous days date on it.

Obviously sometimes they need a lil push. Not as big of a deal to them as it is to us and the non arrival of a simple letter can be very worrying. Silly I know.

When I booked Emma said she'd get a confirmation letter out in the post 1st class. It was gone 5 o'clock so would have missed the post so I didn't get it the next day, but got it the day after.

Give them a call Jemmy xx

I never had a confirmation letter from my surgeon - i've gone privately with a surgeon that also works with mybreast but he hasn't sent me anything?...
All I received after my booking was the details from the hospital about when I'd be admitted/rules/pre-assessment details etc...
Does everyone whether they go privately or not always receive a confirmation?

I received details of what the procedure and process would be implant size, position etc. price and pre and post-op care details. Along with travel details, hospital facilities, and aftercare details etc. Copy of contract to sign and return if in agreement with everything. Contact details and medication details and first post op check appointment. Like you Rosannamay I went to surgeon privately. It is good to have it, to understand and be in agreement with everything.. I would give them a call. xxx

I had all the usual stuff like Mia but I also had a pre assessment form to fill in and send back so they could arrange my care before I was admitted.
