Hello everyone!

How are u all? I have been so busy - just celebrated my sons first birthday on 20th and still trying to find space for all his new toys! :) are u all set for Xmas?

Just thought I would update everyone on my progress - my first apt with the psychiatrist is on 17th January! :) so excited but dead nervous at the same time!

Does anyone have any advice on what happens or what to do? I have written down how it makes me feel I.e manly, lady boy like, wear bra in shower as don't want to look at them, won't go swimming etc but I don't want to come across as mental! Haha!

Thank you kindly xxx

Hellooo, good luck on 17th!! Everything you have wrote down is fine, they would be concerned if you have ever thought of commiting suicide etc over it....thats when you would be declared unfit for surgery. Just be honest, dont be scared......x

yep everything you have written there is pretty much what i felt and told them, one point i did make though was that no one else actually knew how i felt and that my husband was completely fine with me as the way i was and didn't actually want me to go through with such a big operation (now i have them though my husband can't get enough lol) so you'll be fine, it actually felt really good sitting down and telling someone exactly how i felt, it was like a nice therapy session and i felt huge relief afterwards!
