Newbie!

Post by Gnasher on 16th October 2011, 12:03 pm

Hi ladies,

I'm Natasha, I'm 28 and after 3 kids and weight loss I have been left with saggy, deflated, flat, empty, wrinkly boobs! Spent my twenties in absolute misery because of this and feel like I am a disappointment to my fella. I just can't afford to pay for it myself and unable to get a loan, so I went to see my GP about 5 months ago and she has referred me to a plastic surgeon. Was told that the NHS only really fund surgery for severely asymmetrical boobs and reduction for large, heavy boobs that are causing back problems, so not too confident I will be successful in getting an uplift. However, the GP saw fit to refer me so we'll see! I feel like it's a bit of a postcode lottery though, as some areas are alot more willing than others.

Anyway, will be great to hear of your success stories to keep me motivated! Anyone had an uplift, or getting one, on the nhs?

Also, how long did you guys have to wait from initial gp referral to actually having a consultation with the surgeon? What is the normal procedure? Thanks!

Hi there!! I'm getting a breast enlargement in 9 DAYS TIME!!! on the NHS, its taken a loooooong time but i know its going to be very worth the wait!

If i can think that far back im pretty sure it was around 6-9months waiting to be reffered. I was reffered to see a phsycologist first then when she agreed i should have it done i then got an appointment to see a surgeon. It does seem to work abit differently here in Scotland, hope you get to hear back soon anyways, Good luck!!!
