hey hun, so sorry to hear what u are going through.

I had a straph infection (think thats how its spelt) and i had mine in for about 5weeks, had the same really high temp, sweating like a pig and ichty boobs. then my implant started working its way out the wound.

i got told it would be about 6months to wait to have them but back in, had to see him at 3months and he said they was ready to go back in so few weeks later i had them put back in.

It will feel like its dragging for first few weeks, but honestly it wont be long before you have them put back in.

I really feeel for you as i can remember what it feels like, but the main thing is your ok, and u will get your perfect boobies. chin up babes xxx

You poor thing what a terrifying ordeal, I am glad to hear you are ok though and that the problem has been detected and is on the way to being solved.

Chin up sweetheart, six months may seem like a long time but it will fly by and the important thing is that you are HEALTHY and recovering.

Cannot imagine how upset you must be, my thoughts are with you Disaster 571992 Stay strong!

Oh sweetie sorry to read about your ordeal. I'd love to know how tour getting on, and I commend you being so positive!

I've just had it confirmed I have an infection and have been given 3 days to rest and see if if clears up. I'm terrified for the obvious reasons but also wonder how long the recovery is? Im contractor and im starting to worry about money if I need all these other surgeries.

I hope your doing well and getting a new implant soon.

Post by belbliss 26th November 2011, 12:52 pm

Sorry to hear what you went through, it must of been especially hard with a little one and all the plans set to a halt, I too had this happen due to staph infection.. they dragged it on for 12 weeks with 2 surgeries performed in that time to remove, clean and re-insert the implant to no-avail -the wound kept opening up and i was eventually told it had to come out. For "insurance" purposes and sense of security I requested the left hand side implant remain, 6 months later they did fix it, thankfully this was the last surgery and everything went A ok.. I then fell pregnant 8 weeks later and later welcomed my happy healthy baby daughter into the world. Overall I would do it again but defenitely via a diff surgeon - my treatment early on in it all was very poor and dismissive until i was leaking litres of fluid. Anyways again - moving forward - they look better now 3 yrs on than they ever did and altho the scarring is more severe than the left side I am still very pleased I did it and changed my AAA cup status.
