Boob Jobs and the Weather (particularly the cold)

Post by miss flump on 18th July 2011, 9:46 am

Hiya folks,

I had gastric band surgery 2 1/2 years ago and have always felt the cold. But, since I lost the weight, I feel the cold even more!

I am an empty, saggy 32 A at the moment, having anatomical partial unders on 11th August which should take me to a C cup.

My question is, has your boob job affected how you feel the cold weather? I wear a lot of skirts and dresses to work and my legs never feel the cold, but my upper body is always freezing.

Will a boob job make me feel any warmer? Daft question maybe, but here's hoping.

Thanks,

Miss Flump x

Thanks for the replies, girlies.

I guess I'm just going to have to continue wrapping up then!!

Thought they might have provided some extra warmth, but nevermind. Would rather be cold and curvy than not!

i haven't noticed that i'm warmer..they're not exactly blankets ya know! hahahaha j/k

i am always cold, but then again i have a condition called reynauds. so i'm not only always cold, but i lose blood flow to my toes and fingers..well, not so bad on my fingers, but i have about 6 toes that will constrict so much they turn totally white then purple..sucks.

i did read something that said if the air around the implant is cold the implant will be a degree or two colder, and vice verse if it's warm air.

if you're always cold, then a really good quick way of warming yourself is to warm your heart. get some of those heated handed warmers and put them against your chest near your heart, it will warm the blood more and send out the warmth to the extremities!

oh and also, check out battery operated socks..they are the BOMB! lol

I've often wondered if I have Reynauds as my boyfriend comments on my cold feet and everyone always comments on how cold my hands are. Must think about getting that checked out!

As for battery operated socks - wow! They sound fab. I'm gonna check them out right now!!

I'm normally cold too as i drink a lot of water but in my 2 weeks post op I have found the boobies to be like their own central heating system - they are v warm. The nurse says this is ok as due to my lift, they are healing and creating blood flow to the nipples but it did freak me out initally. So no need to put the heating on despite being in bonnie cold scotland !

it's not uncommon especially in women. there's nothing you can do about it really. other than taking heart medications, which don't always work. i'm not willing to take calcium channel blockers just to keep my toes warm. as long as the air is around me is warm, i'm usually ok.

i started out with just very very cold hands/feet (also tip of nose), eventually led to complete blood flow loss in several toes. i just make sure i keep an attack from getting bad by squeezing my toes or putting a blowdryer on them lol

*end threadjack!

Ac4me

I alwayssssss have cold hands, feet and nose but my nan always told me

"Cold feet, warm Heart" so I can cope with that :-)

Girls also check out battery gloves! Amazing!!!!

Although a trick I learnt whilst camping is armpits and boobs are always the warmest place on me so hands go straight there! Its also been proven that if ur hot/cold and put cold/hot water on ur wrists it will balance out ur body temp :-) xxxx
