Really sharp pain when i sit up!!
Hi Ladies,
Thank you for all your support and I will write my diary over the next few days. x
On the whole i'm not in much discomfort at all. When i go from leaning back on my V pillow to sitting it really hurts.
Tonight it was horrid, it felt like the my left breast from scar to nipple was tearing. I was sweating and everything. I am wondering if i have a stitch i might have pulled a bit. Can you give my any advice?? Oh yes there is no obvious sign of infection and i have been taking pain relief xx

Re: Really sharp pain when i sit up!!
Well i have been using my right arm to hold my right thigh underneath and then levering myself up by moving my leg forward. This isn't the side that hurts though.
Sounds more complicated than it is lol

Re: Really sharp pain when i sit up!!
I doubt if you have torn anything love - but I'll tell you how I managed to sit up (I didn't have anybody around to help me do this) so, I would move the duvet back and raise my legs in the air and then pull them down sharply whilst keeping my tummy muscles taut. That action would swing my body upright without any help from my arms. If you angle it right, it gets you actually sitting on the edge of the bed.
Most ungainly, but nobody was around to see it so I didn't care LOL
If you are at all worried, give James a ring hunnie
xx

i think I got up similarly to carol - sort of sit up to avoid using arms. The pain may be just where your skin has had to stretch so much, so quickly - I doubt you will have damaged your stitches - ring james tomorrow for reassurance and advice, xx

Sorry to hear you're in pain Olivia - hope it improves and James is able to put your mind at rest tomorrow xx On a more positive note, you're gonna have a wonderfully toned stomach to set off your new boobs!
