8 weeks post op and still no dropping!

Post by Ruthylicious on 12th January 2011, 12:57 pm

I'm worried my boobs aren't gonna change any more.... I'm 8 weeks post op and they're still pretty hard (still some resistance if i try to push them together), and it doesnt look like they will have the 'on top' definition in a balconette bra either, which is what i asked for...
They still look a bit pointy from the side profile too.... and not much bigger even though I had 470cc!

Did anyone else feel like this at 8 weeks or similar?

Hi hun, at my consultation my surgeon told me it would be around 3 months before I could begin to see the final results, and I've heard some girls on here saying that their boobs are still changing even after this length of time, so I'm sure yours will still have some more changing to do. I know it's no consolation if it's not the look you wanted, but they do look really good in your avatar!

I can't help you out with the hardness as I'm still pre-BA myself, but I'm sure that they will keep changing over the next few weeks...

Are you having any more post-op checks with your PS in the near future?

Yeah, I have to make an appointment to see my surgeon in a few weeks. I'll speak to him then about my concerns and ask him the questions I have.
Thanks for your help though, I suppose most girls go through this stage after the op, feeling negative etc.. I just have to be patient!

It can take a year with someone of your type of BA to drop. 8 weeks is just two months really. Not enough time to see a clear change but talk to your surgeon about your concerns? ~How do your nipples feel? Sensitive? And do you get morning boob?

Hi, I'm 8 weeks post ba and uplift (natrelle unders) mine are still WAY up and hard. I'm trying (not always successfully) not to worry as I was told it was unlikely they would drop until around 12 weeks post op. yours are looking great hun x

I'm the similar hun, one higher than the other!! I'm hoping that my leftie still needs to drop although I saw the nurse the other day and she wouldn't comment (not very reassuring!!), she said they would just settle more if anything. I left feeling pretty worried there maybe something wrong and I may need a re-op?? I've made another appointmnet to see my surgeon at 11 weeks so hopefully I will be able to cancel that appointment if they have 'settled' ok.

My leftie is still a bit higher than my rightie too (I'm a couple of weeks behind you), so I'm hoping that one will drop to even out the appearance. Funnily, it is less noticeable when I look in a mirror and more noticeable in a photograph - and they are still too firm, so I hope there will be a lot more softening yet to come.

Having been through lots of changes myself with my ba. It took about 7 months for mine to drop fully. When they say it can take a year to heal they really do mean it for the boobs as well as the scars. Honestly it's too early to worry yet. If u would like an idea of how much they change I have lots of pictures on picturetrail of my boob journey over a year.

There was lots of changes hun, you're not being silly at all, I think we all got impatient post op as we've wanted boobs for so long we just want to enjoy having them with out all the waiting around grrrr.
I did have overs yes.
They softened up quite dramatically about 4 months post op and I found it easier to get a bit of cleavage then, I didn't know what augmented boobs were supposed to feel like so I assumed thats as soft as they were going to get, but they did keep getting softer. I think it was about 7 months before I thought wow these are really soft. So I'd say about 4 months for cleavage but I had to buy a size or two smaller than I measure to get a whopper of a cleavage. I do like to give them the under my chin fake look sometimes lol

No, you're not being silly Ruth, just anxious and wanting them to be the look (and feel) lovely, a feeling which many of us recently post op girls will have in common with you.
