Scared of a "proper" bra
This may sound weird to alot of you because most of you cant wait to get out of a sports bra but I dont want too !! Iv been advised to start wearing them between 6-8 weeks and Im now over 7 weeks but havnt bought one bra! I find that even at proffesional fittings they just do not fit right and Im not comfortable, im also worried about them rubbing on my scars.
Im abit down about this because Iv dreamed of al the gorgeous bra and knicker sets I could have with my new boobs

Awww don't feel down hunni, if you don't quite feel ready yet, that's OK
Just because you 'can' wear wires doesn't mean you 'have' to rush into them hun.
I was 12 weeks post-op before I could wear wires and like you, they just weren't comfortable for me, it probably took me another month before I could go all day in one! So I was 13 weeks before I was wearing wires all day.
Don't worry about your scars hun, if they're fully healed up now they'll be be fine, if you do experience a little rubbing which quite a few of us do, it's easy to just cushion the scar from the wire with a panty liner or some cotton wool wadding to cushion the scar.
I just started off wearing my bra for an hour a day hun and slowly built up the length of time I could wear my bra.
How you're feeling is more common than you might think sweetie - Don't worry you'll get there, it's OK to take your time
xx

Re: Scared of a "proper" bra
I was terrified of wearing a wire, but excited as well. I was desperate to get out of sports bra until I thought about wearing a wire. I find that I take my bra off after tea time and I wear my sports bra to bed.
I find some shops (particularly la senza) bras don't fit my boobs properly at all. It's worth trying different bras until you find something that works for you.

I didn't find them comfortable at first either, I'd wear my sports bra to work come home and put an underwire one on for an hour and gradually built up from there. They can take some getting used to. I started with T-Shirt bras from M&S as they dont push up etc.

I was the same when I first went back to underwired bras found them uncomfotable and hard to get them to fit. Even though technically your clinic may say you can wear underwirers it doesnt mean you have to just yet. By all means keep trying different bras when you go shopping but if you not ready these no rush. xx
