Help...a little reassurance needed.

Ok, so I know that strange sensations are normal but I am still a bit worried about my right boobie. I keep getting this strange vibrating feeling and like it's leaking. I have had a quick look under the band of my bra and the white bit of my dressing has blood stained discharge on it. It is itching like crazy too. I rang the nurse yesterday and he said that it was normal and not to worry as it's not accompanied by any swelling or discomfort. It's a little bit bigger than my left but not considerably.
I go to get my dressings changed on Wednesday with the nurse. Do you think there is anything to worry about? Will I be ok until then?
I can't get to the clinic as I cannot drive yet and I have no-one else to take me.
Please help, advice and reassurance welcome!

I was told that a little bit of bloody discharge was okay but if I was worried to contact clinic. Is it just a little?

No, it's not. Just had another look and nearly all the white bit of the dressing is covered. I've given them a ring and they said I can go along to get the dressing changed. Going to get a taxi shortly. I'm worried it might be seroma??? :(

You'll be fine hun, as long as the dressing isn't sodden it's perfectly normal to have some oozing from the wound. Your clinic will just change the dressing for you.

The vibrating and trickling sensation you're experiencing is down to the nerve endings healing hun. Nothing to worry about there either. xxx

Just got back from the clinic and I feel so silly now... Cookie you are right. There was nothing to worry about at all. The doctor changed the dressings and I feel much more at rest now. He even said that they were healing nicely too.
He totally reassured me and said it was better to make a journey for no reason than not to go and there to be something wrong, if you get me, lo.

Nothing here is considered silly sweetness and if you're at all worried about anything, you do right to seek the advice from your clinic babe... Afterall, it's what we pay them for isn't it :thumbs: Glad all is well sweetie. xx

I feel very reassured now thanks ladies. I know I did the right thing I just felt like I wasted the Dr's time but like you say its better to be safe than sorry. Plus now this post is up it might help to reassure someone else, so it's not all bad!

I went back a couple of times because I was worried about my wounds Trix, and then felt a little silly when I found out everthing was normal. The nurse was great though she said it was better to get it checked and put my mind at ease than to just leave it and fret. xx

Absolutely hun and I agree with the nurse. It's always worth getting it checked. It's not worth risking your health one bit!
