YAY you got your op booked babe! made up for you!
I started taking my arnica the week before surgery and continued taking it till a week after my op as instructed by my clinic.
It made no difference to me though, I still bruised like a peach! xx

I started arnica 2 weeks pre op on the advice of the clinic nurse and didn't bruise at all, normally i bruise at the slightest touch.

I started the Arnica 2 weeks before I still bruised but you never know how I would have bruised if I hadn't taken it. Congrats on re-booking your op hope all goes well for you this time x

I would speak with your PS hun, just to make sure its ok. My Ps advised no supplements in the run up to BA, and nothing for 7days after either, so for your own safety double check hun! xx

My PS said there was no proof that they worked - but he didn't say I couldn't take them - I am taking 2 three times a day and started 14 days before BA. He said I could continue with vit C. x

The Hospital Group really recommend taking Arnica for a short time before and a short time after the operation. I bought mine from Boots and took the dose recommended by them i.e.
Pillules should be either chewed or placed under the tongue until dissolved and taken between meals.
2 pillules every 2 hours for the first 6 doses, then 4 times daily for up to 5 days or until symptoms improve.
I followed THG's recommendation and started three days before and continued for 4 or 5 days afterwards.

Hi hun, I took them a week before and a week after, as advised by my PS. Not the slightest hint of a bruise!!! Coming from someone like me that usually bruises if someone 'breaths on me'... I did pretty well. I was SO surprised!! (haha)
You will realise, reading the girls stories on here that there are a lot of different opinions out there, so it's always best to check with your own PS/Clinic - you are paying for THEIR care and expertise after all...xx
