My implants are too small! Empty My implants are too small!

Post by victoriarose 3rd October 2010, 2:50 pm

I have just had my first BA 4 days ago but im really depressed with the size of them. I have no idea why but my doctor said in the consultation that i could only have max 280cc implants. (his english was not so good so i think there was a bit of a comunication problem) Me, not knowing how small that would actually look, took his advice and went with the small implants. Now im out of surgery and other than the swelling my boobs pretty much dont look any bigger. Im dissapointed beyond belief. I cannot believe i have gone through all that pain and worked my butt off to get the money together to only have such a subtle change. Does anybody have any advice on what i do from here? Do i complain? Or do i just start saving for a second surgery?

how big were you before? and do you live in thailand or did you just go over there for the OP? crikey, doing something that serious and the surgeon not really being able to understand you doesnt sound like the wisest thing to have done. sorry i dont mean to make you feel bad but how much research did you did beforehand?

Give it a little time hun, did you take some before pictures to compare. I got used to my boobs pretty quick after my op and look at them now and think there isn't really much difference but when I look back there is loads of difference. If you padded your bra out before your op then you might not notice a difference in your clothes.

If your surgeon says thats the max you could have then there must be a reason hun you may have a narrow chest like me.

I'd suggest giving it a little time hun you are only 4 days post op and you will go through alot of changes over the next few weeks trust me. Hug

Thank you so much peachy for your warm words. I keep reading what implant sizes everyone else has and im yet to see someone who has implants as small as mine. I was so excited to hae a nice large c cup or even D and now i feel absolutely crushed that i will have to have more surgery to achieve that now. when i asked my surgeon why i only got the small implants he just said. "No no, too saggy!" I was only an A cup before so i know he didnt mean my prevoius breasts.
I see your also going to be getting something done to your tummy. That is the next thing that i want to get done also so i will look forward to hearing about your experience. xx

Post by victoriarose 3rd October 2010, 3:40 pm

Hey Vicki, I travelled from Australia to thailand to have my breast augmentation because i knew a good hand full of girls who had been to this exact doctor and their boobs are the best that i had seen. I did a lot of research on this doctor and he has done 4000 BA's which is a huge huge huge amount of practice compared to the doctors in australia. I think where i went wrong was not being clear enough in the consultation about what size i hoped to become. I had decided from the start that i would just take his advice on what would look the best and most natural as he knows more about it than me. But i still wasnt prepared for them to be so small. They will look natural allright! just a little too natural.

Everyone is different hun I measure the same as a few girls who had bigger implants than me but I started off bigger than some of them did it all depends on what you had to start off with. Its difficult not knowing what your surgeon was on about in the first place. Have you got an English speaking point of contact that you can go speak to or email so you can get your questions answered. I would have thought you will definately have gone up a couple of cupsizes from the size of implant you had achieving a c/d you may have peceived a d as being bigger than what it is in your size I know I always thought it was massive when in the smaller backsizes it isn't really. Just remember you will look a whole lot different when you get in some proper bras and aren't squished down by sports bras 24/7 xx

I don't think your implants are small, but maybe the profile is not enough projection for you? If you had under the muscle implants it may be that the muscle is still holding the implants down, so I'd give it a few months before you decide whether you want a re op. They do change a lot over time. It's very early days to be worrying just yet.

yea that is what I thought when I came around and finally looked at them, I even expressed my concern to the nurse and the surgeon when he came round to see me the following day. He said that I should easily get a D/DD cup,and that size implant was a good size for me??? but to me they look rather small and I suppose I thought I would look at them for the first time and think BIG BOOBS, will try not to think about it too much. thanks for that thank you

victoriarose, well it certainly does seem like you did your research, so what complaints did you find out that have been made about him? if he is that experienced and you have seen good results from him then you are probably worrying unnecessarily as its such early days for you, plus you are a long long way from home which cant be easy either.

we have the same implant size but i have 'moderate' proflie, so i would think you would get more projection than me but i did have an uplift at the same time. although i was VERY saggy i started slightly bigger than you but i would say at the moment i am at least a dd probably and e, so i think you should get a 'c' or 'd' but there seems to be so many different results even with exactly the same size implants its really hard to say. even the surgeons seem to have a hard time telling you accurately what size you will be! it is very early days for you. have a good read through this forum and you will see how many changes the girls go through size and shape wise! i take it you are still in thailand. when are you due to go home?

o my gosh i am like you.. i was so worried about them looking fake .. mum kept sayingsome look like big ballooons .. i became obsessed with what i did not want and ignored what i truly wanted!!..
i feel i have gone too safe!.. i dont know whether this is the shock of the anaesthetic or that the whole thing is over.. or how i really feel!!.. so confused but feeling better today!!..
looking back i wish i had not been so scared!.. i was so used to not having anything and just prayed for something on my chest. but now i have confidence in what the surgery does for one i am kicking my self that i did not go for the 295cc, as opposed to the 255cc. but still it is early days..
maybe this is a case of the the infamous boob greed!!!!!! i am driving my family insannnnneeeeee!!!!!...just praying for a c cup!!!..

Hey Vicky thanks for your reply. Thats really comforting to hear that your implants are also the same size as mine. Im really glad i stumbled across this site! I am now realising that my boobs are going to look a lot bigger once i can take this tight sports bra off and have them in a nice shaped bra. My boobs arent swollen at all in the cleavage part, just the sides are blown up. I look like im really fat in that area! Im still in Bangkok for another week so i can have my follow up appointment with the doc and learn how to do the breast massage.

Hey Jamie, we had our surgery on the same day! How has your recovery been? I feel quite good, i've actually been shopping and sight seeing yesterday and today, i hope im not jumping the gun too much as i still feel quite sore and 'full' in the breasts.
I was exactly the same, i got over excited in the consultation and i forgot to make it really clear about what i wanted. I knew that my doctor was well known for his boob jobs looking really natural so i decided to let him tell me what to do. I was really feeling dissapointed yesterday about my size but this forum has made me so much more positive already!

yes, i am not sure how much of a difference there is between just 'moderate' which i had and 'moderate +' which you have had. i think the more projection the smaller they are at the base but the actual volume is the same. its just distributed differently within the implant. if you would like to look at my photos to see the size you are more than welcome.

hay ye .. i love this forum it really gives peace of mind. just after my op i saw the stats page.. for the first time.. dammmit!!!! that killed me!!!!
my recovery has been not bad at all i thought i would be in so much pain, its just the why did i not go bigger!!!. i did not realise how smaller difference there was between my 255cc and the 295cc implant!!.but if i would have gone for the 295cc maybe i would have horrific stretch marks after so everything happens for a reason!!.. just deep breaths!!...
i think i will; be fine.. it was just a big build up, alot of time going into the perfect picture!! plus i also have really bad belly swelling after tghe op .. i think it is from the tablets and the anaesthetic!!.. so once the preggers belly goes my boobs will look better too !!
i am now going to enjoy what i create over the next few months! .. its exciting .. cant wait to unwrap these beasts and get this sports bra off!!!..
cant believe u are in bkk!!.. i love that place ,.. the best surgery goes down there!.. you are very brave!!..

take care

DL, no i dont think mine look small!!!! in fact they look bigger than i thought they would and although i do like the size and have got used to it, it does worry me a bit as:
a. i was really really saggy before and it worries me they will do it again as they are bigger
b. i really wanted to start running and do a triathlon and now i am not so sure i should as i dont want to risk them sagging even more. as you can probably tell i am totally paranoid about them sagging !!!!!!! the left one is already about 1cm lower than the right one, but to be fair i think it was slightly lower before the uplift, or was that the other way around, i cant remember now! nope

cant wait to see my surgeon next week with all these questions. i have so many now, rippling getting visible, nipples completely different shape, puckery scars, sagging, when will i need another uplift, oh crikey!!!!
