Help, super sensitive nips!

Post by Peachy34 on 19th September 2010, 1:06 am

Hi I was just wondering if any of you had extremely sensitive nips after your ba to the point of not being able to stand having anything touch them. They seem to be getting progressively worse just when I think they have got as sensitive as they can be they reach a whole new level.

I know its all part and parcel of having a ba and a small price to pay for the boobies but I am just looking for some light at the end of the tunnel. Please tell me it doesn't last forever because its driving me insane. help

xx

I had very sensitive nipples after mine, and couldnt bear anything, not even clothes to touch them. They got better and worse all the time so i think what you are feeling is normal.
They got progressively better and never got back to normal but it took 6 months to a year to get the most sensation back. It seems like a long time but everyone is different. xx

oh my god i remember having this! I had it so so so so bad, I couldnt even wrap a towel round me when i got out of the bath! they were also really puffy and swollen and looked so weird under clothes. They started to get better after i got put in a bra (which was 10 days for me quite early) they were still quite bad until about a month though and now they are fine not sure if they get better or i just got used to it but either way dont have that problem any more xxxxx

I do recall that feeling too....felt like I had sparklers on my nipples...not that I have actually experienced that!! But, yeah they do just set off at will and stand to attention at the most awkward of times Blush Think mine lasted around three months, if I recall rightly, it is just the nerves knitting back together, can take up to a year to settlle, however, mine are much less sensitive than pre-op now...think I preferred the odd tingle shrug

Thanks hun will try ordinary cotton wool instead of the pads as its more puffy if you know what I mean and I can't stand the cotton wool pads or breast pads touching me either. I will put up with fluffy nips from the cotton wool if it gives me any relief xx
